Fox – ISIS beheads 10 Christian captives in Nigeria as retaliation for Baghdadi’s death.
ISIS released a video Thursday that purportedly shows militants in black masks beheading 10 blindfolded Christian men and shooting an 11th in Nigeria, as part of a grisly campaign to avenge the deaths of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the group’s spokesman. The militant group’s video was produced by its own so-called news agency, Amaq, and was released the day after Christmas..
The 56-second video has Arabic captions but does not have audio.“This is a message to Christians all over the world,” a masked man says in the video. ISIS soldiers wearing beige uniforms and black masks are lined up behind the Christian men. One captive in the middle is shot while the other 10 are pushed to the ground and beheaded. Not a lot of details were given about the victims other than they were male, Christian and “captured in the past weeks” in Nigeria’s north-eastern Borno State. Here is an edited video:

Though this is one incident, there is a trend – and it’s historical. From the American Thinker, we repost a link to chilling stories about the history of Islam – “The Greatest Murder Machine in History.” Here is a couple of excerpts that stand out:
The Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. – Will Durant, as quoted on Daniel Pipes site. Conservative estimates place the number at 80 million dead Indians. 80 Million?! The conquistadors’ crimes pale into insignificance at that number. No wonder Hitler admired Islam as a fighting religion. He stood in awe of Islam, whose butchery even he did not surpass.
A minimum of 28 Million Africans was enslaved in the Muslim Middle East. Since, at least, 80% of those captured by Muslim slave traders were calculated to have died before reaching the slave market, it is believed that the death toll from 1400 years of Arab and Muslim slave raids into Africa could have been as high as 112 Million. When added to the number of those sold in the slave markets, the total number of African victims of the trans-Saharan and East African slave trade could be significantly higher than 140 Million people. – John Allembillah Azumah, author of The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa: A Quest for Inter-religious Dialogue. Juxtapose this with the 3.5 million that came to America and subsequently became equal citizens – and America is the racist country goes the meme.
Recent statistics bear out this grim assertion of this global trend in the Islamic faith. About “4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons,” noted Open Doors in its World Watch List 2019. “On average, that’s 11 Christians killed every day for their faith.” Additionally, “2,625 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned” and “1,266 churches or Christian buildings were attacked.” The report further states that more than 245 million Christians around the world are currently suffering from persecution. In other words, “1 in 9 Christians experience high levels of persecution worldwide.”
Islam will be the largest religion in the world in 2100. Most of this growth is set to be in Africa, Asia and parts of the Middle East. So more understanding needs to be considered about the Islamic faith and its compatibility with Western Culture. This is especially true considering that immigration flows are coming from many Islamic countries and a cultural clash is sure to happen.
Now before we attack the author, we all understand that not ALL Muslims are terrorists – but one still must consider this trend. One may say, but did not Christianity also have a violent past? For sure, but nowhere near the same scale historically. The reality is that back through the middle ages, few had the education nor the printed material to understand fully the religion they followed – religion was a tool of the elites of the time to control the people.
But what happened when the world became more education with the technology tools to spread understanding globally. Christianity modified and became less violent and made the modern world. Can we same the same for Islam? We won’t go into a scriptural explanation, but it has been said, “by their fruits, you shall be known.” This leads us to a question, what is in the teachings of Islam that would yield these results?
Concerning the issues of immigration and cultural integration, are all cultures the same? Culture is not genetic, it is environmental. Some behaviors are acceptable, others not. To judge culture is not only not wrong, but mandatory. Failure to do this can have disastrous results. Society needs to have a serious conversation about Islam – something for another post in the future.
In the meantime, we are saddened for the lives lost in Nigeria – especially because they were our Christian brothers killed so viciously. But the sadness turns to outrage, as our media ignores.
